What does the facial nerve supply?

- muscles of facial expression
- nerve to stapedius (ear)
- anterior two-thirds of tongue
- lacrimal glands and salivary glands

- Guillain-Barre syndrome
- Lyme disease
- bilateral acoustic neuromas (NF 2)
- sometimes bell’s palsy can be bilateral
