Medical Certificate
A Third-Class Medical Certificate is issued to a 36 year old pilot on August 10. To exercise the privileges of a Private Pilot Certificate, the medical certificate will be valid until midnight on

Basic Med restrictions
Limited to 6 seats, 6 people, max of 6000 lbs of takeoff weight, no faster than 250 knots IAS, up to including 18,000 feet.

To qualify for Basic Med
- U.S. Drivers license
- FAA Med Cert valid after July 14, 2006.
- Must get a Med Cert if never had one
- Agree to national driver register check

Comprehensive Medical Examination CME
- Every 48 months
- Same day of the month
- Any state-licensed doctor
