What are the clinical features of acute hypersensivity pneumonitis
A
- symptoms start after 4-6 hours
- Flu-like symptoms: malaise, fever, cough, SOB
- Diffuse fine crackles
- Symptoms last for about 12 hours- days

A
- Long-term low dose exposure to antigen
- Insidious onset - Dyspnea, chest pain, cyanosis, productive cough and fatigue

Treatment for Acute
A
- Antigen avoidance
- Oxygen
- Steriods

Treatment of chronic
A
- stop Exposure
- Oral steroids if breathless
