fall on a flexed knee with quadriceps contraction

presentation

A

unable to straighten leg
palpable gap
patellar tends to be in under 40 and quadriceps in over 40

diagnosis

A

SLR
palpable gap (not obvious on obese patients so use USS)
XR (high patellar it is PT, low patellar it is QT)
reduced power is a tear
