What is input in the processing model
The performer receives info from their senses
What is decision making in the processing model
The performer will decide what to do with the info they’ve received
What is output in the processing model
The performer will act out the decision they decided to do in decision making
What is feedback in the processing model
The performer will either receive intrinsic feedback (themselves) e.g. seeing a football going into the goal. Or extrinsic feedback (others) e.g. hearing the crowed cheer when a goal is scored
What is verbal guidance
A coach telling a performer how to do an action using speech
What visual guidance
A coach showing a performer how to do an action by doing it themselves
What is manual guidance
A coach showing a performer how to do an action by moving the performers body in the correct way
What is mechanical guidance
A coach using apparatus to help a performer learn how to do an action
What are the six types of feedback
Negative, Positive, Knowledge of results, Knowledge of performance, Intrinsic, Extrinsic
What is direct aggression
A player deliberately aiming at another player that involves contact
What is indirect aggression
A player being aggressive to an object
What is an extrovert
A person who is confident around others and likes to show off and is easily bored
What is an introvert
A person who is shy and prefers to be by themselves and is quiet
What is intrinsic motivation
The drive that comes from within and gives athletic personal pride and is more effective then then extrinsic
What is extrinsic motivation
The drive to perform coming from the outside and is to either perform well or win a trophy and athletes become more reliant on it.
