Existence of God and Revelation Flashcards
William Paley’s Deign argument
About intelligent design. He gave the analogy of a watch, like a watch has a designer and is intelligently designed with complexity and purpose, so is the universe complex and intelligently designed and therefor it also has a pose and an intelligent designer, namely God
Thomas Aquinas’ First Cause argument
Everything that exists must have a cause. The universe too exists, so it must have a cause - an eternal cause that was not caused by anything, namely God, and therefore God exists.
Two type of miracle definitions
