contraindications to exercise
A
- AVOID hard exercise for 2hrs after a big meal
- DO NOT EXERCISE when you have a fever and/or viral infection accompanied by muscle ache
- DO NOT EXERCISE ** if your systolic blood pressure is >200** and your diastolic is >100
- DO NOT EXERCISE resting HR is >120
- DO NOT EXERCISE if you have a joint that you are using in exercise that is warm, red and painful
- AVOID spinal stretches or bending at the waist, jerky/rapid movements if you have osteoporosis
- STOP exercising if you have severe pain or swelling in a joint
