contraindications to exercise

A
  • AVOID hard exercise for 2hrs after a big meal
  • DO NOT EXERCISE when you have a fever and/or viral infection accompanied by muscle ache
  • DO NOT EXERCISE ** if your systolic blood pressure is >200** and your diastolic is >100
  • DO NOT EXERCISE resting HR is >120
  • DO NOT EXERCISE if you have a joint that you are using in exercise that is warm, red and painful
  • AVOID spinal stretches or bending at the waist, jerky/rapid movements if you have osteoporosis
  • STOP exercising if you have severe pain or swelling in a joint
