c. Two views
1. Bottom up: The obedience of faith (ὑπακοὴν πίστεως, Rom. 1:5; 16:26)
A
- We should have active obedience in our faith like Abraham
- We should have passive obedience in our faith like Isaac
- trusting that God will work all things together for our good
- leveling up requires an actual exercise of our faith not potential obedience. (Analogy of weights; i may potentially be able to lift that hundred lbs, but if I dont i wont be strengthened to next time lift 105lbs weights)
