1. God is the final standard of what is good and always acts in accordance with that standard (Luke 18:19).
2. This goodness is not a standard set above God,
3. nor is it what he arbitrarily deems good, but is intricately a part of His character

1. Because God is the most glorious being, He is jealous of His honor (Ex. 20:5)
2. and so acts righteously when He seeks to protect it.
