What were the effects of the fall?
A
(1) Adam was the federal head of the human race, and his fall impacted all his progeny (Rom. 5:12-21; ).
(2) Adam and Eve experienced spiritual death and their descendants are born into this condition (Eph. 2:1-3).
(3) Physical death entered into the human race because of Adam’s sin

What is original sin and how is it passed on to Adam’s descendants?
A
- a morally depraved nature that has a propensity to sin even from conception (Ps. 51:5; Eph. 2:3).
- God imputed Adam’s guilt to the rest of the human race (Rom. 5:18-19)

A
Sin touches every part of human nature; it affects human’s intellect, will, emotions, desires, and affections (Rom. 7:18).
