19.2 Eschatology (new creation)

What is the new creation?

Answer 1

1. Following the judgments God will establish an eternal kingdom on earth that will be characterized by complete fellowship with God in an environment free from any form of corruption (Dan.; 2:44; John 17:3; Rev. 21:1-22:5).

Question 2

What is heaven like for believers?

Answer 2

1. Believers will inhabit eternity in resurrected bodies, resembling Christ’s resurrected body (1 Cor. 15:20, 23, 42-44, 49).
2. Believer’s will finally be able to gaze upon the splendor of God, manifest in the person of Christ in all his glory.
