The process of removing wastes and excess water from the body.

The skin, liver, large intestine, lungs, and kidneys.
What are some of the waste products eliminated through the skin?
Water, salts, urea

Is the ability of an organism to maintain constant internal conditions despite external changes.
What are some of the waste products eliminated through the liver?
Bilirubin, alcohol, drugs, cholesterol.
What are some of the waste products eliminated through the lungs?
Carbon dioxide and water vapor.
What is the main function of the kidneys?
The elimination of excess water and wastes from the bloodstream.
What are some other organs of the urinary system in charge of excretion of waste?
The ureters, bladder, and urethra.
What is another function of the kidneys in the human body?
The kidneys function as endocrine glands, secreting hormones into the blood that
control other body processes.
What is the main waste excreted through the kidneys?
