Reporting other professionals
What are some principles you might follow when it comes to reporting a colleague to the board?
It is not your job to investigate claims of malpractice or misconduct – you don’t need to involve others – the Board will investigate
• Reporting to the board – ideally support the client to report if possible first, then you report
• If not a mandatory report (e.g., forgot to do CPD) – advise them to call AHPRA and work out what they might do about it
Ask yourself: do you have some concerns, or do you have enough evidence or
certainty to warrant a notification?
