A
● Hypoglycemic agents
● MOA : Close K+ ATP channel→
depolarization of βcell → open Ca+
channel → insulin release
● Weight gain
● Administered before meals to reduce postprandial glucose levels
● Short halflives (1 hr Repaglinide, 3 hr Nateglinide)
● No sulfa allergy
● S.E. = Weight gain, GI upset, headache, hypoglycemia
