Q

2 ways to measure reliability

A
  1. internal consistency
  2. test - re test - how [people perfrom on a test one time is similiar to how they perfrom on a test at a dofferent time

Q

4 ways to measure validity

A
  1. face validity - does the test appear to be measuring what it claims
  2. construct validity - do the test items relate to the aspect/constructs of the theory being tested
  3. concurrent validity - does the new test/scale that we are using as a measure yield the same results as a scale/test that we already know well.
  4. predictive validity - the extent to which the measure can predict other attributes thought to be related to the constructs being tested.
