What does the NASW say about access to records?
Clients should have reasonable access to their own records. If it is believed that access to the record would be harmful the SW should either assist the client in understanding the record or if that would not prevent the harm, withhold the harmful portion of the file and document in writing the rationale for taking this course of action.

Not agree to provide services until the clients needs and their relationship with their current service provider is carefully considered.
What is the first thing that a SW should do when asked by a client to socialize or accept a gift?
Explore the meaning of the request with the client.
