Platelet aggregates with giant and bizarre forms
Platelet anisocytosis
Occasional megakaryocyte fragments
RBC count is slightly elevated
Micro/hypo anemia
Howell Jolly bodies
Leukocytic shift to the left

BONE MARROW
“dry tap”
Hypercellular with megakaryocytic hyperplasia
Aggregated platelets
“glued together” appearance
Erythroid and granulocytic hyperplasia
