1. cervical
2. thoracic
3. abdominal (shortest) - Enter the abdominal cavity = esophageal hiatus
- In medium-sized dogs it is approximately 30 cm long and 2 cm in diameter when it is collapsed.
- Muscles: cricopharyngeus muscle and cardiac muscle
