A
Assesses for carpal tunnel syndrome
Wrist in max. flexion (reverse prayer sign) for 30-60s
+ = numbness in median n. distribution

Describe Tinel’s sign?
A
Assesses for carpal tunnel syndrome
Tap median n. at wrist
+ = tingling/electric-like sensation over median n. distribution

Describe Froment’s sign?
A
Assesses for ulnar n. palsy (adductor pollicis function)
Hold paper between thumb and index finger, pull paper away
+ = can’t hold paper and flex FPL to compensate (so thumb flexes at IPJ)
