mechanism of action

A

imitates almost all actions of the sympathetic nervous system.
vasoconstrictor, and a potent cardiac stimulant, it strengthens the myocardial contraction (positive inotropic effect) and increases cardiac rate (positive chronotropic effect)
a potent dilator or relaxant of smooth muscle. decreases blood supply to the abdomen and increases blood supply to skeletal muscles. elevates systolic BP, lowers diastolic BP, and increases pulse pressure
