Describe Migraine pathophysiology
A
Migraine headaches are caused by a spreading wave of depolarization in the brain! This wave is associated with increased blood flow and then gives way to decreased blood flow

What is the clinical presentation of a Migraine
A
- 4 or more of POUND
- Photo/phonophobia**
- Preceding aura in 20%
- Tender scalp

What would POUND be for Migraine?
A
Use: - needs 4 or more below symptoms
P - pulsating?
O - duration 4-72 hours?**
U - Unilateral?**
N - Nausea or Vomiting?
D - is the intensity disabling? (Autonomic disturbances)
