Hearing may be affected - in neuritis this is not affected

Triggered by change in head position
Each episode lasts 10-20 seconds

Epley rx usually need to refer
Chronic rhinosinusitis
Red flags symptoms
unilateral symptoms
persistent symptoms despite compliance with 3 months of treatment
epistaxis
Head impulse test
Positive when move head then eyes move away then quickly look bact at you this represents an abnormal vestbular cochlear reflex (peripheral) in central cause this would be negative
Central cause - bidirectional or vertical nystagmus
