Clear, concise, correct and coherent
What is the rule for finding the independent and dependent variable in a question?
Whatever comes first is the independent and second is dependent variable.
Example: Does the type of metal effect how much a bulb lights up?
Independent- type of metal
Dependent- how much the bulb lights up (brightness)
Primary data
Data that you collect in your experiment
Secondary data
Data that someone else has collected, so a secondary source is one where the information is collected by someone else e.g internet
Bias
When someone has a preference to something which may be unfair
4 key things to look for when judging bias in a text:
Who are the authors?
Where is the research published?
What were the findings of the research?
Who’s funding the research?
