Confirm their blood glucose reading with a capillary blood glucose reading
Blood glucose needs at least 5mmol/l

Question 2

How should you advise diabetics to monitor blood glucose before driving ? What should they do if it’s below 5mmol/l?

Answer 2

Blood glucose should be checked no more than 2 hours before driving and every 2 hours while driving
If below 5mmol/l then take a snack
