What is enculturation?
when people learn their own culture.
How is enculturation acheived?
through observation, formal instruction or maybe even direct personal experience within the culture.
What does an individual learn during enculturation into their cultural?
rituals, customs, traditions, social norms
What is needed in order for enculturation to continue?

What is cultural transmission?
This is when attitudes, behaviors, and beliefs are passed down from one generation to the next. by interacting within one’s own culture they would gain an abundance of information about it.
Why are the cultural norms bidirectional?
cultural norms grow out of the behavior of individuals but individuals behaviour is altered by the culture and its norms.
What is a gate keeper?
developed by Kurt Lewin which says this person controls access to information and ideas in a social group. These are the people in our society who decided what information is shared to groups and other individuals.
