An observable expression in the body or face.
Emotional Expression Characteristic
Has emotional connection such as warmth and love.
Emotional Expression
A theory said that emotions are elicited thru physiological reactions or bodily arousal thus making emotions as products of Physiological Reaction
James-Lange Theory
A theory said that emotions are product of physiological arousal and determines what kind of emotions in that particular situation. ex. fire; scary/thrilled/fear
Schachter’s Cognitive Theory of Emotion
These are building blocks for making mixed emotions
Basic Emotions
These are blended basic emotions that can also be complex emotions.
Mixed Emotions
- Emotions are used inorder to communicate and influence others.
- Emotions can be utilized to organize and motivate action
- Emotions can be self-validating
Functions of Emotions
- Positive attitudes and emotions can help increase your health
- Positive attitudes and emotions can help
improve one’s self concept.
Effects of Emotions
A personal satisfaction or desire in order to energize a behavior, unconsciously or consciously.
Motivation
An innate biological force that can cause an organism to act in some ways, also an automatic/reflexive response.
Instinct Theory
Homeostasis - ideal state of body
Us can have demands or needs due to disruptions of our biological needs thus making us have imbalanced homeostasis, also making them have the drive.
