Sound Judgement
Always use sound judgement. If you need to deviate from a procedure for the sake of safety have a REALLY good reason why you are.
Permissible Operations
Follow procedures only outlined in the NATOPS. Any deviation from normal must be approved by command.

Land As Soon As Possible (5 Considerations)
An emergency shall be declared and a landing accomplished at the nearest suitable landing area considering:
- Severity of emergency
- weather conditions
- Field Facilities
- Ambient lighting
- Command Guidance

- Taxiway
- or Under/overrun
- Landing on an unprepared surface or ditching is not recommended
