What happens on Day 1 of fertilisation?
A
the sperm and ovum meet in the uterine tube appx. 12-24hrs after ovulation.
The sperm then penetrates the corona radiate and zone pelicuda.
Then they fuse and meiotic division 2 begins.
Acrosome reaction makes the egg then impermeable to other sperm.
