What is an email?
The email holds info and settings about the email, such as list the email is being sent to, sender, and reply to details. Email is attached to an email template
What is an email template?
Allows you to create text and HTML email designs and store them for future use. Can be used to send ad-hoc emails or used in drip programs or as form auto-responders.
How do you prevent emails from being marked as spam?
Enable DomainKeys, SPF, and add a text version of the email
What are the components of an Email Template?
Building: creator/editor of template content
Testing: test the content and merge data of template
Sending: set the sender and subject details
What is a recipient list?
the list of prospects the email is being sent to
What is a suppression list?
used to omit a selected group of prospects from list emails/drip program
Can any list be used as a suppression list?
Yes but will only be used as suppression list for that particular drip program or email

total number of emails sent

emails waiting to be sent (not reached inbox of prospect)
Email Reporting Metric: Soft bounce
returned to sender bc inbox full or temporarily unavailable. max 5 before prospect is opted out

permanently bounced back bc email is invalid. max 1 before prospect is opted out

total emails minus hard/soft bounces delivered

What are operational emails?
non-marketing emails, can be sent to prospects even if they have opted out. Enable in Account Settings
