Q

H2 Receptor Antagonists

A
Histamine 2 receptor antagonism. blocks h2 selectively and decreases HCL production
Drugs: quick acting

Q

PPI’s

A
Bind to H, K and ATPase enzymes to inhibit the proton pump (inhibits HCL secretion) higher efficacy than h2, longer halflife.
Meds:
Omeprazole (losec)
Lansoprazole (prevacid)
Pantoprazole (pantoloc)
