Place the break controller in the non-driving cab to the emergency position. Contact the driver and confirm that signaller has granted permission to set back.

In the event of your train being involved in an incident or accident involving Dangerous Goods what would be your immediate action
Protect the train, alert the Signalman or Control, stating that “This is a Rail Dangerous Goods Emergency”. Give the train Reporting Number (if known), describe the incident as fully as you can and say if any Rail Staff or members of the Public are involved.
