How would you proceed if someone has a PAC
proceed as normal
How would you do if someone has a PVC?
proceed as normal, monitor if it increases with exercise
if there is more with exercise, slow it down
What would you do if someone has a 3rd degree AV block?
stop exercise, call a rapid (they need a pacemaker)
What would you do if someone has a junctional rhythm?
stop exercise, if it doesn’t change with rest call a rapid response (could be med related)
What would you do if someone has Afib?
stop exercise because they are at risk for clot
if they have resting Afib and their HR is increasing with appropriate workload then continue
What would you do if someone has V Tac
stop exercise, call a rapid response
What would you do if someone has atrial flutter?
stop exercise, mostly concerned if it is a new onset, they need an anticoagulant
What would you do if someone has Vfib
stop exercise, call a code, start CPR
