What is a galaxy?
A large group of stars.
What is a planet?
A large round object in space that moves around a star.

What is a star?
An object in space with its own light.
What is the sun?
A large bright object in the sky that gives us light. It is our nearest star. It is at the center of the solar system.
What is the universe?
All the known and unknown worlds and galaxies in space.
What is the milky way?
A small galaxy in which our sun, the earth and our moon are part of.
What is the solar system?
A group of planets which earth is part of, moons, comets and asteroids spinning around our sun.
What are orbits?
Large circular paths that the planets travel in around the sun.
Which is the largest planet in our solar system?
Jupiter

The moon is between the sun and the earth and the moon casts a shadow on the earth.
What is day?
At any time half the Earth faces the sun.
What is night?
When the other half of the Earth is facing away from the sun. It receives no light.
