A

Help the student learn - make it enjoyable & teach to the standards
Provide adequate instruction - have a genuine interest in the students well being and ensure adequate instruction is given
Standards of performance - teach to standards in all areas
Minimize student frustrations - motivate, inform, give credit, criticize constructively, be consistent, admit errors, be positive

What are the flight instructor responsibilities?

A

Be aware of physiological obstacles of new students
Ensure student ability. Always evaluate ad share the evaluation. You are responsible for the students safety.

Instructor professionalism

A

Always exhibit professionalism, be sincere, accept the student as they are, appear professional, and use proper language. The students well being will emulate the instructor, be safe and teach safety.

How do you evaluate the students abilities?

A

Demonstrated ability - performance is based on the students experience and stage.
Keep them informed - critique often and honestly. Address deficiencies and give corrective actions.
Correct the students errors - don’t always immediately take the controls from a student. They should be allowed to self correct in order to learn.

What are the instructors responsibilities with regard to knowledge and practical tests?

A

The instructor is attesting that they have taught the student the information required to pass the test. Their failure is the instructors failure to teach them.

A

An instructor is always learning. Higher learning should be perused. Seek out resources such as WINGS program, AOPA, college courses, etc.
