Yes, but not routinely
What is a trip free circuit breaker?
Holding the reset button in whilst the fault exists will not reconnect the circuit
What is a non trip free circuit breaker?
Holding the reset button in whilst the fault exists will reconnect the circuit
What can happen with repeated resetting of circuit breakers?
Electrical fire
What happens if you replace a fuse with one of a higher rating?
May lead to electrical fires or damaged cabling
What happens if you replace a fuse with one of a lower rating?
May lead to the component not working at all due to early fuse blow
What is a green circuit breaker?
Monitored, tripped for more than 1 minute will result in an ECAM warning
What is a black circuit breaker?
Unmonitored, the crew will need to discover a tripped condition
What is a red capped circuit breaker?
Installed with locking collars that prevent reset in flight
