What’s the difference between ACE inhibitors and ARBs?

A
  • ACE inhibitors and ARBs inhibit the renin‐angiotensin system (RAS) but have different sites of action;
  • ACE inhibitors inhibit the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II,
  • ARBs antagonize receptor binding of angiotensin II to AT1 receptors.
