How many times can the written test be retaken?
Once
How long does a candidate have to wait to retest?
10 shift days (30 calendar days)
When may a retest be administered the same day?
If only 1 skill station has been failed, its up to the discretion of the evaluator
How many times can a practical test be retaken?
2 times in one calendar year
Appeals must happen within how many days?
30 calendar days of receiving failure notice
What must a driver candidate have to become a medic driver?
6 months of field experience, have completed Phase 3 or tour 11 (for ALS interns) and EVOC 2

Complete probation, 1 year field experience from completion of FRA and VFIS or EVOC 3

1 year released as an engine driver, 2 years field experience from completion of FRA, completed truck task book, VFIS or EVOC 4, and they must be released tiller operator.

Off probation, 1 year field experience, released engine driver for 6 months, completed truck task book, and VFIS or EVOC 3.

Released engine driver for 2 years and 2 years completion of FRA as well as EVOC or VFIS 3

1 year released as a backup engine driver and 2 years completion of FRA.
How many miles/responses of day and night driving must a candidate for everything but a tanker have before testing?
100 miles supervised daylight and 100 miles supervised night. 15 day responses and 5 night.
How many miles/response must a back up tanker driver get before testing?
200 miles day, 150 miles night supervised. 5 supervised responses total.
