Q

Note this anatomical locations

A

Labia Majora: These are located laterally on either side of the vulva, enclosing the other structures within.
- Labia Minora: Situated medial to the labia majora, forming the inner folds that enclose the vestibule.
- Clitoris: Located at the anterior junction of the labia minora, often near the ventral commissure of the vulva.
- Vestibule: Found caudal to the vaginal opening, leading to the external environment. It extends from the vaginal opening to the vulvar opening.
- Vaginal Opening: Positioned within the vestibule, caudal to the cervix, and cranial to the vulvar opening.

Q

Describe the cervix and give it’s functions

A

This is a glandular ring like strucythatbis found between the vagina and uterus
It has annular rings that is always closed except at estrus and parturition

Cervix also has a for ix
Function
Protect the uterus from microbes
Serve as a gate from the internal and external structures
It also doesn’t allow sperm to leak out from the uterus
