malignant bone tumour arising in bone or soft tissue and produces bone pathologically
mainly adolescents and young adults
usually long pains around the knee is most common
produces malign pain, swelling and mass
metastasises to the lung and is lethal
malign pain in young adult near the knee joint with or without mass is red flag for
osteosarcoma
codman’s triangle
distinct appearance of osteosarcoma on scan
tumour is broken out from the inside of the bone and lifts the periosteum forming new bone under the periosteum
