- Early preparation for procedures, give correct information, be specific, explain equipment, PLAY and GAMES may still be useful.
- Allow child to have some CONTROL. Close curtain and knock before entering the room to allow for PRIVACY.
- ALLOW parents and peers to be present and visit as much as possible.
- May NOT verbalize feelings, be alert to NON-VERBAL cues. Allow the child to draw pictures if willing.
