Domination Flashcards
What really is DOMINATION?
I must dominate myself, not so much the people around me. I have to surrender My full loyalty and commit to what my spirit is calling out of me.
What’s getting the way of what I’m called to be in this life? Dominate those things that block me from fulfilling my declaration.
It’s not worth it??? To have the global impact… is not worth it???
🎁
You don’t have to be the best. You can go home and just sit there and continue to do what you’ve always done. Just stay in your comfort zone. That’s what most people do. They give up on their dreams. Or you can be one of the few who actually try to make this world a better place.
What are the 3 things that I must be doing at least one, every day?
Preparing
Performing
Recovering
Greatness is not done alone. I must have a team. How must I lead?
Build leadership by building relationships and trust. When people know in going to give all that I’ve got every game and I’ve always got the team’s best interest in mind and not my own, that builds trust. Having teammates’ trust = I am a leader
When people see my own commitment, they will follow me as a leader.
If you’re truly committed to greatness, you just have to face the facts. There’s one way to get there, 🎁
It’s sobering, exhausting. It looks like shit. YOU look like shit, and you’re all hunched over like after a brutal run, and you’ve got slobber coming out of your mouth. That’s what being the best looks like. It’s alone, cold, dank. It’s feeling “Screw this” a lot of the time. But stay the course. One day ask those people in your life who said it was too hard, why would anyone do that, or that’s too cocky — one day those people will pay money to come watch you perform instead of someone less committed.
Right now, we’re separating the thoroughbred racehorses from the donkeys. What singular ability separates a thoroughbred from every other horse?
They can do the same thing over and over and over again without losing enthusiasm. Other horses work hard, but they get distracted and bored. They can’t do it. They’re not thoroughbreds.
Be a thoroughbred racehorse. Commit to my declaration and practise over abs over again until Mastery.
When will my team show up?
When I show up for myself. I take the first steps. I make the declaration. I with my ass off. I show that I am fully committed. I work harder than anyone else.
It does take some years to assemble my team.
Why must I go a little bit public about my declaration? And who should I tell it to?
Publicity holds me accountable and I know that at least one person is waiting for me to deliver on something. That is positive pressure.
Trust my gut. Based on the energy of a person, I will know who to tell my declaration to and who not to.
There will be people who tell me I’m crazy and there’s no way I can make my dream happen. What should I do?
Don’t flip out when they are not sprint. Don’t spend my energy trying to get them to believe in me.
Just walk away.
Mediocre vs Best declaration
🎁
If you make a mediocre decision, you’re going to get a mediocre person showing up to be on your team. But if my declaration is over the top, if it’s impossible, if it’s completely over the top, then the right person will show up. In fact, that person might be standing right next to you right now with no game to play. You give them something to believe in, and they will show up for you. They need a player to play the game — that’s you — so that they can do what they do.
What kids do the best college coaches want?
Not the players who’ve moved around from high school to high school, chasing the best teams. They want the kids who have stayed loyal, who have gutted it out, who challenged themselves to play against the players who make them work the hardest and improved their skills. They want the kids who are true competitors.
