Q

“He was a hell of a player, really had a chance to be great. But he started drinking, and all of a sudden, he had no chance. “

Why do people mess up so badly?

A

It’s not because they got off track and smoked and drank. That’s normal and nothing to be ashamed about.

It’s because they didn’t course-correct. Most people don’t course-correct as they don’t have anything holding them accountable.

1st level of accountability is Build My Environment.

A

The foundation comes first.

Visual reminders are a vital part of my environment. There no wish: they are a kick in the butt, a call to action. They Remind me to get back to and get moving in the right direction again.

2nd level of accountability is Partnerships

A

It can’t be done alone.
Let others see me challenged and see me fail, so they can see me get back to and start over, back on track.

Have partnerships working on my long term development.

There’s nothing shameful about failing. There’s only shame in not getting back up.
