What is the difference between product data and samples?
Product data provide specific information about a product performance in charts, brochures, diagrams, or instructions.
Samples represent of materials color, texture, finish, workmanship, etc.
What does a project manual include?
Technical information, legal and procedural requirements… Including bidding documents, applicable contract forms, documents that relate to equal employment opportunity on labor wage requirements, etc.

What is the difference between text-based and knowledge-based master specifications?
Knowledge – based specifications usually dialogue method to access the data bases… While text – based systems are reductive, knowledge – based systems are additive.
What is the difference between closed and open proprietary specifications?
Closed specifications require a particular brand or tradename and do not permit substitution.
