Q

What are the two fast ways of DNQ sequencing

A

High throughout sequencing and Next generation sequencing.

Both use massively parallel sequencing where multiple sets of DNA are sequences together at the same time

Q

Advantages bioinformatics

A

- Information is universal (ATGC)
- Allows for rapid comparison of sequences with newly sequenced alleles
- data on amino acid sequences and protein structures
- can form new protein structures

Q

Why do we compare genomes

A

It’s universal and can do it across all species

Can use it for phylogeny and lol at evolutionary relationships. The more similar the sequences, the more close they are related. Can compare between and within species
