Telomere

A

Repetitive DNA at each end of a chromatid. Prevents chromosomal deterioration during replication.

How telomeres function

A

Prevent chromosomal deterioration. During replication, extreme ends of telomere are not copied. Telomere gets shorter. Cells stop dividing when telomeres are too short.
