What is DNA?

DNA is the information-carrying molecule found in all living organisms, in most animal,plant,fungal cells DNA is stored in the nucleus coiled up in a thread-like structure called chromosomes.

What are the four DNA bases?
A
Adenine, thymine, cytosine, and guanine. (Abbreviated to A, T, C, and G)

What information does DNA contain?
A
The instructions to make proteins. Proteins play a big part in determining the characteristics the organism has. For example your eye colour, muscle mass, height even the ability to learn a new skill.

What does DNA look like?
A
Twisted ladder. The shape is called a double helix.

A
46 in total, 23 from each parent.
