A

They produce adhesive polysaccharides whoich gell the biofilm to teath and creat an anerobic environment

What do bacteria do th sugar in the teeth and how is this related to tooth decay?

A

Bacteria ferment sugars to lactic acid, causing damage to enamal. Together with proteolytic enzymes, this causes caries (tooth decay)
