Outline hypothermia and its cause
Hypothermia is a condition which occurs when the body’s temperature is below normal and it is caused when the body loses heat faster than it can produce
What are the symptoms of hypothermia ?
-Temperature below normal
-shivering
-pale skin
-confusion and disorientation
-fatigue and drowsiness
-lack of coordination
How do you diagnose and monitor hypothermia ?
Thermometer reading and observation skin too cold 
How do you treat hypothermia?
Move to warm environment
Drink warm fluid
Outline dehydration, and its cause?
This occurs when more water and fluids leave the body than entering it. The causes of dehydration include diarrhoea, vomiting, and sweating or not drinking fluids. It can cause death
What are the symptoms of dehydration?
-Extreme thirst
-Lips and skin become dry and cracked
-Tired/exhausted
-Unconscious
How to diagnose and monitor dehydration
Skin pinch test
How to treat dehydration
Drink or be given fluids intravenously
