Define and discuss ultraviolet rays

Ultraviolet rays are comprised of invisible rays beyond the violet spectrum, ultraviolet rays are efective in killing bacteria and viruses.
The disinfection system is composed of a housing with a maximum of 120 mm depth around the bulb and the water should have 15 sec exposure to the UV. Turbidity and color should no exceed 15 mg/l.
No taste or Odor are emitted from UV and there is no danger of over dose. Also there is no residual exist in UV disinfection thus it is advisable to use the system at the point of application.
