What is gender discrimination?
This is discrimination against someone’s sex (male or female)
What is racial discrimination?
This is discrimination against a person on a basis of their race
What is disability discrimination?
This is discrimination against a person who is disabled
What is age discrimination?
This is discrimination against people of a certain age. (Usually in older people)
What is sexual orientation discrimination?
This is discrimination against a person because of there sexual preference
An example of gender discrimination
An example might be employing a male direction over a female director when the gender of the director have no affect on the job
An example of racial discrimination
An example of racial would be employing a British person over a Chinese person just because there of a different race
An example of of disability discrimination
An example of this might be that an employer does not employ someone with hearing difficulties when this doesn’t affect a job
An example of age discrimination
An example of this might be refusing to employ a 60 year old person just because of his/her age

An example of this would be that an employer may refuse to employ a person because they are gay or lesbian
